Beauty and the Bean is home to a daily morning series called Waking Up with Bean starring my cats, Bean and Lily. It’s cozy, routine-based, and built on the kind of tiny moments that somehow become a whole personality: breakfast negotiations, sibling side-eyes, and Bean’s ongoing belief that he pays rent.
What started as a simple “good morning” video turned into a long-running ritual for a community of pet people who love comfort content with a pulse.
I’m a professional videographer by trade, so while the stories are relatable, the work is intentional, clean, and brand-safe, with a style that performs across platforms.
The Origin Story
One morning, I randomly decided to film my cat Bean meowing because he was… a lot. I paired his loud opinions and dramatic delivery with some pop-up text subtitles, making ordinary moments feel like an episode.
From that day on, I kept posting daily and the Waking Up With Bean series became its own little world. People started showing up like it was their morning coffee, and I realized this wasn’t just “cat content,” it was routine content. Familiar. Comforting. Community.
That’s the heart of it today: real life storytelling, built around characters people genuinely know, and produced with the polish of someone who’s been behind a camera professionally for years.

About The Cats
TWO CATS, ONE DAILY ROUTINE
Bean and Lily are the co-stars, and the reason the series works.
Bean is the loud, expressive orange one. He’s dramatic, confident, and deeply committed to being the main character.
Lily is the calm balance: elegant, observant, quietly judging everyone, and somehow always photogenic.
Together, they create the dynamic people come back for: chaos and calm, comedy and comfort, all inside a routine that feels like checking in with familiar characters.
Think of them as a sitcom duo, but furrier and less unionized.
